blowing oil

the engine is more like leaking oil only when running im thinking it may be the oil sending unit not showing signs of rear seal driver side dirty blown oil passenger side clean under neath its basically wet with drips of oil
I would put it up on ramps and crawl under it with a light and pin point the exact location. It could be a bad valve cover seal, bad oil filter seal, bad drain plug O-ring, etc. Not much sense in just randomly guessing and replacing needless parts. I had a leak on my old '85 Scottsdale that took me forever to locate. It wouldn't leak at idle, only at high speed. I finally had to put it on ramps, put a brick on the gas pedal, and crawl under it and wait for the oil to start dripping. Come to find out, the new crate engine that the previous owner had installed, had a tap hole that wall drilled too far into the block. When the pressure built up at high speeds, the oil would blow out of the tap hole. I just put a half inch bolt into the hole with some silicone and problem solved.
