Will a 93 OHV Explorer directly fit to replace 1998 OHV

I have a 1998 Ford Explorer Sport 4x4 with a 4.0 OHV enging I want to know if a 1993 Ford Explorer 4.0 OHV is the same enginge and if will work as a direct replacement for my 98. Thankyou

Hello jcat12-- The 1993 and 1998 Ford Explorer were both available with the same 4.0L "Cologne V6" engine. You should be able to use the older engine in your 1998. Good luck from Bovan.
