Will the motor from a 1998 mountaineer fit a 1999 ford explorer

I have a 1999 Ford Explorer and needs a 4.0 SOHC motor.
Will a motor from a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer interchange?

I have a '99 explorer I purchased new. It has a 4.0 OHV engine It was an early '99 production run so maybe they had a few OHV engines left over they put in mine. I'm pretty certain the 98's only came with the OHV engine, but best check.
