Question type: Maintenance & Repair

His truck was running a bit rough before he did the oil change, now the truck won't start at
all. Can you maybe give us some ideas on what may be wrong with it? Thank you for any

Oh, & the check engine light is on, threw a code (I can't remember the numbers) but i believe it was for the ECM & or Spark Control Failure. Any ideas?

Check, main fuse, then check for firing, pull a spark plug wire, turn over see if you get spark,if spark is there check fuel relays.

If it turns out that it is. Don't spray anything in the breather like gas or starter fluid to try and start it. Cause if you do and it backfires out the intake you will be replacing that to cause they are plastic.

Ok I just talked to my other son (his twin brother) who was with him today, he said the alternator, belts etc were spinning but the motor wouldn't start

Ok that's great. Just had to throw that out there. Do as stated by topshadetree . Check for fire, fuel and air. The one that's missing will lead you to your solution. Good luck and keep us posted.

1994 - I am leaning to possibly a fuel pump issue if it's never been replaced. Also have them check for anything that might have come unhooked while they were working on it.
