Grinding noise when brakes applied.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 Ford Ranger 4 cyl. Sometimes when i apply the brakes it makes a grinding
noise, like that of a pad rubbing on rotors. I have replaced the rotors and the pads, and
also the bearings. Yet it occasionally still does it. Has anyone heard of this, or know what
could be cause it?

It doesn't do it all the time, but every now and again when i apply the breaks i can feel it in the pedal and hear it as well. It doesn't have to be when i first start out, it is just random.

Yea TOM is right you need to recheck your work like he said.I know it is a pain in the BUTT but you still have to do that. You know what you are doing so just take your time,THINK about whats happening like, making sue the caliper is on right and TIGHT,and just making sure your touching everyting and Iam sure you will find it.GOOD LUCK!!
