remove rotors from 2005 odyssey

If you go to a auto parts store close to you, pick up a "Haynes" manual for this car, they have all the "detailed" steps. Take the wheels off, then remove/loosen the "hex" bolts on the caliper (there will be two at the back of the caliper), lift the caliper out (sometimes you will need to pry VERY gently, with a small pry bar/screwdriver), then the rotor will come right off. If you are replacing the rotor, I recommend that you do them in pairs (front two and the rear two) also if you change the rotors you should change the pads too. Hope this helps, best of luck.

I believe the answer is put the correct extract bolts into the rotor and gently and evenly apply pressure via the temporay bolts to the underpart that is the knucle/spindle. This is the good news parts. Bad news is you must remove the impossible slotted screws that hold the rotor to the spindle - the soft metal screws, courtesy of Honda engineers - strips out just looking at them. If you go to the University of Youtube (UofY) you will see how other have dealt with this problem. Easiest way I found after the "UoY" and school of hard knocks was to drill them out carefully as not to damage the receiving threads in the spindle. If you do, then hopefully one one of the two get damaged since they are both not critical to getting the rotor back on. just a place holder until the lugs and tires are installed.
