1974 VW Super Beetle windshield washer fluid trouble

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hi all. I have recently bought a 1974 VW Super Beetle. I love the car, but have
a couple of issues to sort out. Here is my most pressing issue : How do I
pressurize the washer fluid tank when the pressure hose attached to the
reservoir isn’t long enough to reach the horizontal spare tire ? Unlike the
standard Beetle, the Super Beetle has the spare tire mounted flat on the
floorpan.
I thank you all in advance for any assistance you may offer.
Many thanks,
Darren.

It’s gonna be hard to come by, but you need a a plastic tube that screws into the smaller holes where the fluid container sits that goes down to the spare tire.
Thank you Donizcko ! Your answer confirms what I had begun to think might be the case. So far, after some netsearching, I have found what seems to be the best Air-cooled VW parts supplier in my area ( Canada ). I’m not sure if Car Gurus policy allows me to name that company or not, as this is my first use of this awesome service. But I’m going to look into this issue and if it’s ok, then I will happily name the parts source that so-far seems to be the best fit for my needs. I don’t want to start out on the wrong foot...this service is far too valuable to mess-up imho. I’ll be using ( and answering too, where I have personal experience ) Car Gurus a lot now that I have signed up! Briefly, what you have told me is what this ( large ) Canadian VW parts source told me after phoning them. Your time, effort and knowledge with answering my question is very greatly appreciated Donizcko ! I will begin the long search for this elusive part, in the interest of originality, but in the meantime I’ll simply wire up a general purpose 12V electric pump to keep my windshield clear AND to pass the cars MVI ! Thank you, and wishing you a great day Donizcko !
I decided to convert to a 12 volt washer fluid universal fit pump and switch with fuse and wiring. Works great !
