I need to replace my speedometer cable on my 1975 Super Beetle. Do I need both upper and lower cables to repair this?

Remove the speedometer, use a needle nose to pull what's left of the cable remove the other end from the cable housing on the bottom, if you buy an aftermarket cable you'll need to cut it to length use the Two pieces as a guide don't make it too long or you'll wreck the speedo. Thanks Mike. I’ll give it a try. JBugs has a video also that I’ve watched but they don’t mention anything about the upper or lower cables in the video. I’ve located the cable and it seems to be one piece. So, just need to look under the left side and see how it enters through the fender well. Dan
