2009 Chevy Cobalt wont start

Asked by Erica Jul 09, 2017 at 11:41 AM about the 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A few weeks ago out of the blue my cobalt had trouble starting. It would
take several tries after hearing a click when turning the key. Originally
thought it was just the battery but the road side assistance guy said We had
a bad alternator. Replaced both the alternator and the battery, the car
worked fine for about 3 days not its having the same problem. After about
15 tries of turning the key and hearing a click it starts. Any suggestions?

Could be starter relay. Could be starter. Best thing to do is have someone that knows how to test both! But I would be leaning towards relay or solenoid on starter
