it could be many thing that will not allow the car to start: Battery Replacement The battery is considered “dead” when there is insufficient charge to start the engine, or run electrical components. Normally, the first sign is dim lighting in the interior of. Fuel Pump Replacement; Fuel pumps require replacement if they leak or begin making too much noise, which is a sign of malfunction. A failing fuel pump will not create enough pressure in the fuel syste: Ignition Switch Replacement (Electrical) When the electrical portion of the ignition switch fails, the vehicle will permanently or intermittently lose power to certain systems and components, depending on which positio: Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement When the ignition switch lock cylinder fails, the ignition switch may very well work, but it may be difficult to find out, as the lock cylinder can fail to release when the key. Sounds like the problem is a dead battery. If it will start with a jump start, the starter is okay. If the battery is more than four years old it should be tested and replaced accordingly. I assume the alternator is charging okay....no warning lights showing. I say that because a dead alternator can discharge a battery making the battery look dead when it's not.
