check engine light....again

in my 2009 chevy malibu we have replaced the 4 spark plugs and coils twice. The ignition coil and did a fuel system clean out. After a few days of running perfectly fine it will start to idle again and the check engine light will come right back on. I feel like we are just spending time and money. what could else could be wrong?
