Does a 2002 Honda Civic EX have a timing belt or timing chain? A belt is not metal & outside the block / a chain is metal and inside. @ 145,000 miles shld it be changed for $600-$800 ?

And yes, it should be changed. $600-$800 is a good price. My ex girlfriend had hers done years ago and they charged over a grand. But they also did the water pump and tension pulleys as well.
