Why my 2001 honda passport wont accelerate?

Any codes? Clogged fuel filter? Low Fuel Pressure?
Got codes p0420 ( catylic con.) P1290 ( ???) P0440 P0300(missfire) Changed the plugs, but still slow to accelerate.. Can the catylic converter really slow the acceleration that much?
Yes the catalytic converter can very well cause this issue. I experienced this with other vehicles as well. The misfire can wreck the catalytic converter and plug it up and then it will cause the car to accelerate slow.
That is less than transmission replacment at least... Is there a chance its the tranny?? I dont have any transmission lights but was afraid that might be the issue,, please ease my mind.
I highly doubt it's the transmission given you have a catalytic converter code. Remove the o2 sensor in front of the catalytic converter and if it runs a little better then you can verify it's the catalytic converter. Otherwise get prices around to see who could do it for cheaper if you don't want to tackle it.
I have my answer.. looks like its the fuel pump. It went out on me yesterday, it was making sucking noises instead of humming. Now it has stopped and the truck wont stay started..
