I had a similar problem, and noticed that the radiator hose was higher than the radiator, causing an air pocket and making it run hot.I took the hose off at the radiator and filled the block up with coolant untill it ran out of the radiator.Problem fixed. It really needs a shorter radiator hose or needs replaced.
