I am considering buying a 2000 Passport that will only drive forward if the vehicle is in winter mode. What kind of repair is most common to fix this concern?

I understand I am a Tech with 30 years under my belt and have a scanner just was looking for a direction as trannies haven't been my thing mostly engines. what source is there for info on the readings on the inputs and outputs? Mitchell, All Data which one is best for Honda
