Car cut off when i stopped at stop sign

My engine light is on when i stopped at a stop sign it just
cut off when i try to start it it's not doing nothing but lights
and radio still on

Take a look underneath the hood. Ensure cable connections are good and you don't have any vacuum leaks. Check your oil. When is the last time you did a tune up?

Also, was the gas tank full? I had the same problem whenever I filled up the tank. It was a fuel relay problem and had to swapped out along with the fuel pump.
