I believe that has something to do with the security system....

I have discovered on my 2017 Charger if I'm working with hood up after 30 minutes it has a faint beep. I have figured out its some kind on alarm for having the hood open for more than 30 minutes. I close hood then reopen it and it stops unless I wait 30 minutes again

I have the same issue with my 2014 Charger R/T 5.7 . It s not the security system , it only comes on after you have driven it and the engine is hot . It is right in front by the fuse box but the sound gets louder as you move towards the Alternator. I think it has to do with the Alternator or a sensor, if it was the security the noise would be on all the time when the car is is sittiing hot or cold
