Engine turns over but car won't start

Its a matter of getting the fuel back up to the engine. If you run out of gas, a lot of times the fuel pump will burn out. Should check the fuel pressure also.

You need a fuel pressure gauge and then it gets hooked up into the fuel line. Then you turn the key to the on position and see what kind of fuel pressure there is. I guess first would be to turn the key to on and see if you can hear the fuel pump run.

Ok, now I've read up on the comments more... you definitely have a plugged fuel filter... end of story, just go get one and the autoparts guys can help a little by directing you on how to replace it GL

Just trying to diagnose the problem, there is a sock on the end of the fuel pump in the gas tank that can be full of crap now, which is more likely than the fuel filter. Both should be changed, and a fuel pump likes to burn out when running out of gas. Helps to know if it runs or not.

People stop automatically telling others what there solution is when it could easily be a number of things... If your Honda will turn over but won't fully crank and was working fine before, look to see if the green light with a key pictured is flashing. If so, its a security/computer lockup. You simply unhook the battery connections and hook them together. Wait half an hour and hook them back to the battery. You're now good to go and you should get a new key programmed. This just happened to me last week. My mechanic is awesome. Also, don't EVER let your car run out of gas, or even below a quarter of a tank. Just don't.
