Most cab and chassis Rangers were two wheel drive unless it was special ordered as a 4x4. If you can get the VIN then it candy decoded to find out.

there is a little goodie called a transfer case, this has plenty of U-joints to fail on you...like having an extra "pumpkin' differential between the front and rear....fewer moving parts are more reliable~ the rubber parts will and are going to fail, bout 50,000 miles, if exposed to rough gravel/dust perhaps shorter~ be nice if there is a question here, make up a question for us~
