? how available will parts be for Honda element since discontinued in 2011

As long as Honda is still in business in the U.S., parts should be readily available and any warranty should remain in effect. Most manufacturers make parts available up to 10years after they stop producing a vehicle. Same with the major aftermarket suppliers that provide replacement parts. Honda may have even elevated parts production just to have a stock of parts before eliminating the production line. Often the tooling and machinery could be sold to an aftermarket supplier. They often continue to make parts based on the popularity.
Greg is right. Manufactures do make parts available for up to 10 years after discontinuing a product. Additionally, Honda seems to like to make some parts interchangeable, so there may also be a supply from one of the other models which will fit the Element. My sales and service people tell me the Element is "bulletproof". If you keep up your regular required/recommended maintenance, it will give you many years of service. I personally think Honda made a BIG mistake discontinuing the Element, particularly without replacing it with a like size vehicle. The Pilots have become too big and the CRVs too small. Better marketing, like the Scion, could have kept this model alive.
