2010 Kia Soul

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2010 Kia Soul will overheat when air is on, will blow hot air out when
stopped and will then blow out cold air when moving.  It will over heat when
driving it with nothing on also.  Is this the thermostat?

Over-heating alot, before locating the why it over-heated first few times, check compression on all cylinders & test for exhaust in cooling system to be sure the head gasket in not bad, only takes over-heating one time to warp a head then the head gasket cannot do its job. Then if it passes as good, make sure the cooling system is working correctly, check/test/replace/fix/repair: Water pump, thermostat, radiator fan(s), coolant temp switch, bad radiator(mineral deposit blocking the radiator), reservoir & cap, hoses, leaks, fan relays/fuses, low coolant level or not concentrated enough, low oil level/pressure. ect

Kia Soul 2010 2.0 L lower coolant hose cold and high coolant fan inoperative. Any ideas
