Reset system on dash won’t turn off and it won’t show my mileage

Does the car still start? If it starts, are you able to shift out of park? If you can't shift out, the problem is in the smart junction box. If the radio display stays locked on "Ford Fusion", the system is not properly initialized and can any number of things. If you can shift out and drive the car, the instrument panel is likely your problem. First, check the fuses for it. These are fuses 26 and 29 in the fuse panel under the dash. Fuse 29 (upper right) is ignition power from the cluster (allows start), and fuse 26 (middle of panel near bottom) is the battery power to the cluster, and is the likely problem. If it continuously blows, you have a bad instrument panel. If the fuses check out, disconnect the battery and re-connect it after a half hour or so. This sometimes resets all the modules and the car is fine, but should be looked at.
