Mazda3 Electric Randomly Shut Off and Back On while Driving?

Asked by GuruDWNTS9 May 14, 2024 at 11:03 AM about the 2010 Mazda MAZDA3

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I drive a 2010 Mazda 3. It's always been super reliable, no problems besides
general maintenance with it being older and having it for several years.
This morning I had a dentist appointment and drove there no problem. Then
about an hour later I left there to go to work. In the 20 minute drive from
there to work, I first noticed my bluetooth kept shutting off and on. It would
turn off and have the "Hello" sound and picture but my car was still on and
driving. I mainly noticed it while braking or turning.

Then the more alarming thing was power steering. The power steering light
came on while turning and it became impossible to turn but then it came
back on after a second or two. This happened two or three times in the 20
minute drive to work. At the same time the radio kept doing the bluetooth in
and out. Again this was happening while braking or turning mainly.

I'm confused because I drove the same morning and it was totally fine so this
seems like it came out of nowhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
