Why my ford Taurus won't start

Trying to crank my ford Taurus
and when I press start button it
does all but won't start up.  Why?

I can't get my ford Taurus to start. I know I need a new battery, but all the lights work fine the radio too. It just won't start when I press the start button. Do u have any suggestions to help me to get it to start
