I have a 2010 SRX that just died as I was making a turn. I put a battery in it and went a 100 yards and it died again. I had it towed to a mechanic who said that it needed an alternator. They put the alternator on it and tried to start it, but he said that the starter was turning very slowly and that we had probably burned up the starter trying to start it. Now, he has put the alternator and the starter on it and says that the engine is blown. Does anyone have any comments or suggestions?
