Sorry I am a bit confused by what you are trying to describe at the wires and also not at all sure if the country you are in would have anything different then the cars do here, but you should get the same readings on both sides of the coils on the same wires and if not need to trace the drop in voltage down.
the plug ito the left side coil has 3 wires 1st wire 12v 2nd wire 0v 3rd wire 6v the coil on the right has 1st wire 12v 2nd wire 0v 3rd wire 0v also when turning engine over to try to start left coil over heats and smokesw/burns
have changed the coil packs and the the ignition cut off
Colin, the best advice I can give you at this point is to go to ALLDATAdiy.com, and purchase a one year subscription for your vehicle. It is a pretty detailed info they have on the vehicles including diagrams of most systems, much better than any paper manuals you can buy in the after market & well worth the price.
How many miles on the car? Just asking, because I am guessing that if the car is used quite a bit with the ignition switch being cycled on and off so much, it could be a dead short someplace in the ignition switch too.
