Knock sensor. Please help!

hey guys was wondering if you can help me out, I have a
2010 cobalt LT and the check engine light came on
recently so I pulled the codes and p0327 came up and
said it might be the knock sensor, a knock in my engine or
low fuel pressure. I dont really hear a rattle coming from
the engine and after I pulled the codes the check engine
light turned off. Maybe it's a bad connection with the
sensor?? Any help is appreciated and thanks in advanced
guys

Maybe. A bad connection could show up as a failed sensor. Check the connection and drive it for a bit. Then scan for codes again. If it shows a failed sensor again, you might want to change the sensor. If it says low fuel pressure you might want to check your fuel pressure and correct it if it's low.

Did you trouble shoot your fuel system and change the knock sensor?
I have replaced tbe sensor, sensor connection, tested sensor wires for conductivity as well as output voltage. Still get the code like clockwork on every start for the last year.
I haven't researched it myself, but the original poster said one of the possibilities was low fuel pressure. Wouldn't hurt to check that out. I've also noticed a number of threads here where problems were solved by cleaning up, tightening and occasionally rewiring and even adding grounds. There are several on that car and some seem to degrade over time. Modern auto electrical systems are extremely sensitive to things like bad grounding, so that might be worth looking into. Spend a little time reading through some of the other posts on this site regarding Cobalt issues. You might find some more clues to follow.
Finally solved. Wiring harness wore through where it was touch on the oil filter housing. It was shorting to ground through the engine. Repaired wire and sll good.

Saved me a lot of cash. with the check engine lite on, the remote start would not work for safety reasons. Getting cold at night. works now and my wife is happy again. happy wife, happy life. hehe. :)
Ya man, 2 years and a lot of head scratching, troubleshooting and having no remote start as well.
Rich, you guys saved me a trip to the repair shop, after changing the knock sensor still had the light, that sharp edge at the oil filter housing and crumbling wiring sleeve, moved and re taped the wiring and no more light, thanks again
Thanks for this info guys. Had tested voltage at harness, checked ok. Replaced knock sensor (bet a bunch have been replaced for this issue). Figured was possible wiring issue but did not relish the thought of tracing wiring. This post put me right on it.
