2010 vw jetta post ignition switch replacement problems

Asked by GuruBXC4D Dec 23, 2018 at 10:46 AM about the 2010 Volkswagen Jetta

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just had the entire ignition switch replaced on my jetta because the prior
switch jammed with the key stuck in it.  I now have a new key/key fob for the
new ignition and now the car starts for a couple seconds, shuts off completely,
and i have an error message reads "no key" on dash.  What do I do now to
reset/relearn/etc the key/start up procedure so my car starts and runs?
