They don't have one. They have timing chains.

Thank you! Do you have to change the timing chains? And if so, at what mileage?

Theoretically speaking, the chain should last the life of the vehicle as long as proper oil changes are observed. The chain is lubricated by the engine oil and shouldn't need to be replaced unless it is damaged.

Oops. I spoke too soon... The 3.5L V6 does have a timing belt. The 2.4L does not. According to my repair database, there is no specified interval for the belt replacement. I would recommend that it be changed at 60, 000 miles/100,000km.

Thank you so much for this information! I really appreciate it! I've got a 3.5L V6 with 106,000 miles & about to take a long trip so will plan on getting the timing belt changed out next week. Thank you again!

My 2010 owners manual says to change it at 102,000 Miles. I worked at Trenton engine for about 35 years where the 3.5L was made. We made them at Kenosha engine plant too. We Affectionally referred to Timing Belt as the "Rubber Band". If you don't replace it, Very Bad / Ugly things can happen. This engine design is a Contact Type Engine. Meaning if the belt breaks the valves contact the pistons. The timing belts work great. However It is a wear Item and must be replaced. Cheer Up some Ferrari Engines use 4 tining belts an it costs $6000 and north to service them. At minimuma broken belt mean Bent Valves. Worse valves go thru pistons. The worst, Broken off valve tulip (head of valve) goes thru the cylinder wall. For a DIY mechanic this is a Real HD Project. We got to perforn autopsies on Warrenty returned engines and I have seen a few blown out Cylinder walls.
