Question type: Maintenance & Repair

has noise coming from a small pump that is behind driver rear tire. what is this pump for? does not do it all the time some time when starting or some time when idleing. has a small hose going up to fuel cap area

Does it have air suspension or is this the fuel pump making the sounds?

im not sure its my daughter's car. I thought it may be a air pump too after I seen it,she said it just started making the sound I thought it may have been fuel pump ill have to check it out a little more
