Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey,

I have a 2010 accent 4door automatic. I have an
error code of P0501 speed sensor A. Trying to find
where it is located is proving to be quite difficult.
Does anyone know where speed sensor A is
located.  I do not have ABS so i dont think its in the
wheels? There are no noticeable symptoms that i
can see. Speedo works fine.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

First decent answer if gotten. Thanks alot. I recently had my bearing and breaks done on the front, check engine light came on a couple weeks after. Is this the only one? Ive done some reading and some have the sensors in the trans or behind the speedo? Would they be speed sensor b, c, d etc? I really appreciate this help your a lifesaver!

There arent really any noticeable problems. Only occasionally when im turning and accelerating out of the corner it doesnt give me all the power and feels a little sluggish. All instruments are working speedo and tac. How difficult is it to change the wire?

No ABS correct. I havent had a chance to take anything apart yet so i dont know what shape the ring gear is in. Im hoping its a simple fix by just having to change the sensor/wire. Youve been very helpful ill update progress
