Hello I have a 2001 Hyundai elantra. A couple of months ago my car started to over heat and I lost heat.I was told it was the thermostat,so I got it replaced.after getting it replaced my car continue to overheat. I took it to a mechanic.and he said it was the head gasket, i didnt replace it and after driving one day it started to over heat and now stop working.I talk to a mechanic and he told me I should just replace the whole engine instead of just fixing the head gasket.that it would be better and almost the same price.my question is should I just replace the' gasket or replace the engine like he said? 5 Answers

Hi I have a 2001 hydyia elantra, it's manual and today I've had to replace the batter. my main concern is when I was driving my car it made a little noise then my car just stop moveing. the engine was still running and was fine but the car would just rev up and did not move does this mean the whole clutch is bad or maybe the clutch plate?? And when I let go of the clutch in gear it did not stall out like it should have it didn't even move or rev just sat there please help me asap!! 2 Answers

I have a 2003 Hyundai Elantra with 65,000 miles and i just recently found out i need a front right wheel bearing and I have 2 evap leaks. (2 codes came up). I was quoted $450 to fix both issues including a state inspection. Is this a serios issue with my car that has to be fixed right away or something i can fix over the next few weeks? Is this a good price for the problem? Is there something i can do to fix these issues for now that could be a cheaper option? 1 Answer
