Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have checked with dealerships and Ford.com and no one seems to know what
brake pad material is used for the BR 1414 or BRSD-1414 (severe duty pads)
for my 2010 F-150.  Anyone know?  Is the material used for the severe duty
pads different from the regular pads (BR-1414) the vehicle came with?

Going by the specs and features I've read (low noise, heat dissipation), and the fact they are called super-duty, I'm thinking they are semi-metallic. Braking power with ceramic pads fades due to excess heat...not ideal for severe duty applications.
