Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What could this be ? My truck is getting hot driving
down the road ! The heater will come on and get
hot then get cold like the thermostat may be
sticking could this be more of a problem than a
thermostat?

If the temperature gauge goes up really hot and then suddenly drops down to cool and then does it again and again then it is almost certainly the thermostat sticking like you suspect.
