There's a lot more to it than what you think, wiring harness is totally incompatible as well as the ECM and transmission control. You need to find a donor V8 truck of the same year then transfer everything over. Engine, transmission, wiring, computers, etc. Now be aware that if your where inspections are mandatory it will not pass.
