will a 3.9l v6 tranny bolt up to one of the v8 motors that came in the dakotas?

..well the automatic may have intelligence the manual doesn't use/need....so a consideration would be the TCM transmission control module which you must chose wisely~

I guess I forgot to mention that my tranny in m v6 is a 5 speed, so do you think it would bolt up to a v8 motor the 4.7 or the 5.2l or whatever it is I forget what the bigger one is?

you never said what year...perhaps you're crossing the generations and incompatible...without knowing what year....cannot know~

you should be able to bolt the v8 up to your v6 tranny. you need to look for a 5.2 (318) or I would go ahead and look for a 5.9 (360) from a ram if you are going to do a swap. look on www.customdakotas.com for more detailed info to help with the swap.

Another question,,, my dodge is running really crappy, I took it and had a code reader put on it and it was jumping from different cylinders saying they were misfiring. Also while im driving the check engine light is always on, when it turns off I loose all horsepower and end up have to down shift to keep speed and it really misfires then, a couple people told me it was the cam position sensor but I have no clue want some more ideas before I go buying expensive sensors, the truck only has 119,xxx miles but idk what the previous owner could have messed up any suggestions???

I would check you're distributor cap out for cracks and tightness. . I had mine come loose and also if it is amiss check rotor out also to be sure its not mealted

Alrite I have a 94 dodge Dakota 4x4 slt v6 magnum I started it up for work today and I was driving two work and I got out of first and a couple of seconds after it switched into second gear it reved up felt lo!e the rear tires bogged and then switched it shifts fine other than that any suggestions mabe a shift solenoid or sticky valves or smpthin more serious than that hope not
