haven't driven my 2011 Sonata for 7 days; I was away on vacation. when I drove it yesterday, there was a "thumping" noise that seemed to be coming from the wheels. Is this due to not being driven for 7 days?? What could it be?
Very well could be, especially if it goes away after driving a while. Certain types of tires will develop a 'flat' spot' where it was parked that will cause that but in 10 miles or so will disappear
Not likely after just 7 days. But possible a motor mount. You say "thumping" and a bad motor mount does thump. If it is a flat spot on a tire it would be a regular thump, thump thump at a constant speed, A bad motor mount would thump the ,most on acceleration.
