Oil leak in spark plug area

Asked by amc16000 Nov 26, 2019 at 03:39 PM about the 2010 Ford Fiesta

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi,

I'm the owner of a 2010 Ford Fiesta, 1.4 L petrol engine.

The problem I'm facing with it is the oil leak around spark plugs especially
those two on the left side (drivers side).

I have changed the rocker cover gasket so many times along using a good
sealer (Victor Reinz) but the problem keeps coming.

Few days back, I have purchased another gasket (Victor Reinz), again
removed the rocker cover a did a very good cleaning with appropriate
products, I have noticed a hole next to the plug well (see pictures attached)
which keeps being soaked with oil no matter I tried to dry it.

Is normal to be like this or it is the one causing this oil leak?

I don't want to close the cover again and spoil and gasket befor I get the
answer

Best regards

I have a feeling that you are building up to much pressure in the engine, I would check ti see if the PCV valve is working and not clogged. check all the vac hoses leading to the engine, if they are soft they could be colapsing which will cause the engine to over pressure rise
