Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Since Toyota requires synthetic oil for the warranty, and the oil change interval is 10,000 miles, how do I set the "Maintenance Required" to trigger at 10,000 rather than 3,000?

You can't. That has been addressed by myself and other owners of Camrys and Corollas. Why? Good question that nobody seems to have an answer. And it should be 5,000...if yours is lighting up at 3000 there are other things that will trigger it. It not only counts miles but engine revolutions, running time, temperatures, and uses an algorithm that gets complicated..but nothing to worry about. If you need to know how to turn yours off let me know and I can explain.
