replaced ecm now the theft deterrent light is on. How do I relearn?

My Chevy Cruze 2012 , wouldn't start,a light came on saying, self theft deterrent. So I removed key from ignition, push locked button on key pad,then unlocked,put the key back in and it started. Now I noticed it does this every time I'm getting in my car. Do any one have an solution to why is this happening?
