2011 jeep grand cherokee water leak

Asked by GuruPHV8 May 05, 2017 at 11:23 AM about the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I have water collecting some where in the front of the dashboard area on the
right side.  I can hear it sloshing around. Recently replaced the windshield so
I Took it to the windshield place they did water test and do not know what it
could be. Never leaked before.  Carpet is saturated. What could have
caused this?  Is this a common problem with this model? What should I do
next?  Where should  I go next?

By chance, when you turn on the defrost, do you smell antifreeze, a sweet smell? Then it would be the heater core leaking.

I had a car that leaked like a sive, seemed it all happened at once so I took it to the dealership to be fixed. What they do is a smoke test to look for the leaks.
