will it be okay if i replace the 15'' rims with 17 on my bmw 316 e46 (2000)

they will probably be heavier, but not so much that you will notice a drastic change in performance... you will notice the stability they add, more than the added rotating mass.... 17s will fit your car without issue, just make sure you buy tires that are lower profile and keep your circumference close to the same size as your 15s.... as for suspension and steering nothing should be adversely affected..... if you were also lowering the car, then suspension and steering could be affected.. but not from upsizing 2 inches on the wheels. you will be fine ... just order the correct bolt pattern.. and check with the dealer about keeping the aspect ratio (overall circumference of the wheel/tire) close to stock... have fun and good luck...Joe
yes and no. it all depends on how deep your pockets are. If you go out and buy a rim made by asa, american racing etc. then they will be heavy. You might feel it at the wheel but it wont be to significant. But if you buy say a Volk, rota, weld, gram light etc then they will be considerably lighter so you might feel a lot more response at the wheel. hope that helps
