2005 325i Problem with coolant light and overheating
I have a 325i BMW. It started to have the low coolant light turn on and off periodically, but the coolant isn't low. After doing this for a couple of weeks, the engine started to periodically overheat. After stopping and letting it cool down, I can typically get it home without the temperature gauge going into the red.
I've taken it in for repairs multiple times, first to a BMW specialty shop (they flushed the coolant system and replaced a sensor), then twice to a BMW dealership (first time they just flushed the system and found nothing wrong, second time they replaced pretty much every part in the cooling system, at great expense). In all cases, a month or two later it happens again.
Any thoughts on what my problem is?
