use a funnel the longer the spout the better.

Sorry should have added- push the funnel into the filler neck as if it was the nozzel at the pump, then pour your additive in. I have to ask tho, what additive are you putting in a brand new vehicle ? that vehicle would not a need a fuel cleaner/conditioner for the first 40,000 miles.

The same way you would with any other car. There's no cap but the filler neck works the same.

in the trunk on the right side you will see a snap on door, pull it off and you will see a special filler neck for additives and gas cans

The correct Funnel is Located Rear Compartment Right side. Lift rear Door then, Open passenger side small plastic wall storage cover. Find the Funnel. Use this Funnel as others may not open or damage the fuel nozzle opening.

Ok I have a 2011 Ford Escape and I looked for the funnel in my truck. It wasn't there. Where can I find one?

Today I thought....I'll add that fuel injector cleaner in the fuel tank and it poured all over the floor. Evidently I needed a funnel to put the additive in. Sure wish someone (Ford Garage) would have mentioned that. Oh well, as they say....live and learn. LOL
