My air conditioning is intermitent

The air conditioner in my 2011 Ford Escape only works sometimes. If the
outside temperature is to high, it won't work but when the temperature comes
down around 20 degrees, it will kick back in. What could be the cause for
this?

Maybe insufficient air flow through the condenser. Make sure the cooling fans are working.
