is the fuel pump the main reason a 2011 malibu will not start when battery and alternator are working

Car turns over but will not start. A similar incident happened more than a year ago. The
car has no power although my battery is performing properly. I drove my car on Friday
night and when I awoke the next morning the car would not start?

There could be several items that could cause it but yes the fuel pump is a option it needs to be gone through to determine exactly what is wrong
Mark, The dealer called me and told me the water pump is bad. However, the car had no power every electrical device in my car failed. I contacted Chevrolet and when the tow truck arrived he gave my battery a boost and it started. But only after the car was off for several minutes did it start. Will a fuel pump cause the aforementioned issue of now power? Could it be a faulty wire or fuse? The car was put on the diagnostic machine and inspected by Chevy tho morning Thanks for your insight
