Possibly the engine suffered a catastrophic failure.

ok found out that in toyota highlander 2011 the oil hoses busted and the vsc light does not always go on when pressure drops. They replaced the rubber hoses with upgraded pipe lines **should be seeing a recall and possibly a class action lawsuit in the future** hang on to your receipts. This vehicle had some oil left in it so it did not seize up on us. cost $350 instead of 5 grand!!
