Asked by Guru94BBNK Sep 12, 2020 at 11:49 AM about the 1999 Toyota Tazz

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm in cape Town, looking for the best price to
replace a grudgeon pin, just paid out a fortune to
have my cylinder head repaired after the mechanic
dropped a socket into the engine.. Can't afford
much after that

This is a US based forum, I would call a few local garages to get some quotes.

The mechanic should have fixed the engine at his cost not yours.

If the conrod and wrist pin are shot then the engine is too. Time for a new engine or new car.
