What's going on with my 2012 Chevy Cruze when its smoking and has a burning smell?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I hadn't had any problems with my car and never noticed any liquids under my
car until after I had my oil changed. My mechanic told me there was a leak in
the tube allowing coolant into the transmission. On my way home, the car
started to have a distinct burning smell and, once parked, smoke started
coming out from under the hood. I would like to know what's happening, why
is this problem happening so suddenly, and how much should I be expecting
to spend in order to fix these issues.

whoever changed the oil should have been able to do a simple job without messing things up- c'mon, that car is only 3 years old! I would suggest taking it to the dealer, maybe have it towed, and see what they have to say- hopefully the dealer will have a competent mechanic- you have a valuable machine, and you must find someone who will NOT mess it up-

Smoke is always a bad sign. Did you take care of the problem of coolant in the transmission or did you drive it and possibly destroy your transmission and engine?
