I have a 2012 Chevy Cruze 1.4L that is coming up service stabilitrak and traction control with check engine light.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have replaced the negative battery cable and also changed one of the speed
sensors that the codes said was bad. Any ideas on what to try next?

Had the same issues with the alert/check engine being intermittent. As time went by the alert was always on after toggling the stabilitrak button (near the shifter). About 3 weeks later the cold of winter (during holiday shopping season) settles in and the car does not start with a new "Service Power Steering" alert. Changed the battery, checked the grounds and cannot get the car to turn over. All I know is that your Chevy Cruze will worsen from this message and degrade itself down to complete immobilization no matter how well you take care of it. The issue is completely controlled and caused by the computation of its sensors because the car looks, sounds and works perfectly fine. But according to GM, the human perception of reality is not good enough and thereby requires an operating system that can secretly be updated or tweaked via satellite GPS by better than human corporate stockholder bots. Otherwise, these issues would have override options available to the car owner. GM believes that human stupidity will keep them in power long enough until the new age of autonomous cars reign in so that they have another profitable decade ahead without the worry of losing control of the industry. If GM cars couldn't be wirelessly immobilized via corporate will, then how else will they be able to get everyone to give up their privilege of owning a GM vehicle that drives wherever they want to go? The future of GM does not truly place the safety of the roads above all as they would want you to believe. All they want is the safety of total GM control before all else, even at the expense of humanity as a whole let alone our freedom to travel.
